Tame Impala is a project created by multi-instrumentalist, producer, and vocalist Kevin Parker. The group, which has won two Grammy Awards, began its journey as an independent psychedelic rock band in Western Australia and has become a global phenomenon, successfully filling arenas around the world. Parker has managed to reach wide audiences by bridging psychedelic rock and electronic dance music.

Since the release of their debut album Innerspeaker in 2010, Tame Impala has become known for iconic songs like "The Less I Know the Better," "Elephant," "New Person, Same Old Mistake," "Borderline," and "Dracula." Parker's unique style and hypnotic rhythms have led to collaborations on the Grammy-winning track "Neverender" with artists such as Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa, Gorillaz, Travis Scott, The Weeknd, and Justice. Additionally, their music has been remixed by many talented DJs, including Mau P, Soulwax, and Zhu.

The Slow Rush is a surreal dance album that blends 90s techno elements with soft rock melodies. Kevin Parker served as the sole musician and vocalist on this project, which was created with dance clubs in mind. This synth-heavy recording contains significantly fewer guitars compared to previous Tame Impala albums and has made a complete transition to electronic dance music with its rich instrumentation and vocal layers.

The Slow Rush stands out as Parker's most popular album and features dance funk tracks like "Borderline," "Lost in Yesterday," "Is It True," and the 70s R&B-influenced "Breathe Deeper." This atmospheric and melancholic album won five awards at the 2020 Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Music Awards, including Album of the Year, Best Group, Engineer of the Year, and Producer of the Year. It has also been nominated for two Grammy Awards.
