The Kering Foundation is finalizing the details for the fifth edition of the Gala for Women in Need. The event, set to take place on September 10 at The Pool in New York, will once again be led by founding partners Salma Hayek Pinault and François-Henri Pinault. Notable attendees will include Pamela Anderson, Simone Biles, Benicio Del Toro, Nacho Figueras, Dakota Johnson, and Lorna Simpson. This event, organized to fund efforts aimed at ending violence against women, will feature a special performance and a live auction showcasing unique products and experiences from Kering's fashion houses, including Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, McQueen, Brioni, Boucheron, Pomellato, and Ginori 1735. Last year's event raised over $4.5 million.
François-Henri Pinault, President of the Kering Foundation, stated, "Salma and I created the Gala for Women in Need to provide essential funding to organizations working to end violence against women and to mobilize a broader community around this critical mission that lies at the heart of the Kering Foundation's work." This year's event stands out as a powerful reminder of what the community can achieve when it comes together.
Marie-Claire Daveu, Kering's Chief Sustainability and Institutional Relations Officer, added, "For nearly two decades, the Kering Foundation has been working with expert organizations to prevent violence against women, support survivors, and break the cycle of violence before it passes to the next generation. The Gala for Women in Need is an important expression of this commitment and brings together a community that raises awareness through its generosity."
