According to Live Nation, this event is part of a celebration of Jay-Z's 30-year career, honoring his impact on music and culture. Along with other concerts in Paris on September 10 and Los Angeles on October 23, these special performances will pay tribute to Jay-Z's iconic music catalog. Jay-Z's music has influenced and shaped many generations.
After performing at the Roots Picnic in Philadelphia in May, Jay-Z will also take the stage at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles for his first concert on the West Coast since the 4:44 Tour in 2017. Additionally, two concerts scheduled for July 10 and 11 at Yankee Stadium are being promoted as events dedicated to Jay-Z's 25th anniversary, celebrating the Reasonable Doubt and The Blueprint albums.
Jay-Z has sold over 125 million albums, making him one of the best-selling and wealthiest music artists in the U.S. It was also announced last month that the artist, who has won 25 Grammy Awards, will have his own documentary airing on HBO this fall.
