Noah happens to pass the scene of the accident and gives Jenny and Hendrik first aid. Leyla then arrives in the ambulance and is overwhelmed, especially when she finds Jenny’s lucky charm bracelet on the side of the road... Britta and Svenja are informed and immediately rush to the hospital to see Hendrik and Jenny. While Hendrik escaped with a fracture, Jenny has to undergo emergency surgery. After the operation, she initially appears stable and reminds Svenja of her promise to look after Bella and Till if anything should happen to her. But then Jenny’s condition suddenly worsens... The first rumors start to circulate about Amelie and Simon’s «shared flat» that the two could be more than just roommates - which neither of them wants. Simon decides to move out when Amelie unexpectedly receives a call from Henni and collapses crying in Simon’s arms. The situation between Ben and Tina threatens to escalate.

Leyla is shocked: When she tries to give Jenny her lucky bracelet back, Jenny suffers a cardiac arrest. Noah fights for her life - without success. Britta and Hendrik move Sam’s birthday party to the estate - out of consideration for Jenny’s grieving family. Hendrik enjoys the celebration with his family.

Hendrik and Britta get the approval to set up a shared practice. Their lives are going perfectly. But while Britta is toasting the upcoming practice opening with friends, Hendrik collapses unconscious while taking a walk with Betty. Jorik quickly sees through Amelie’s spontaneous claim that she is now with Simon. But he misunderstands the situation and believes that Amelie still has feelings for him and therefore wants to keep him at a distance. Amelie is only interested in Henni. Svenja tries to find out whether she is ready to take responsibility for Till and Bella. And she quickly realizes that it will not be easy to win Bella and Till over. Tina is hurt after Louis calls Franka «Mama». But Franka manages to calm Tina down and the two talk things out. Tensions arise between Leyla and Noah in the shared apartment. Meanwhile, Elyas does not know how to support Bella in her grief. He is relieved when she takes a step towards him.

The unthinkable happens: Hendrik dies in the hospital. Britta is in shock. She says goodbye to Hendrik in a matter-of-fact way and throws herself into everyday activities to protect herself. Only when Svenja, who is still grieving for her best friend, shows her understanding can Britta let her tears flow freely. Julius is urgently looking for a carpenter for the Askanier Park. Then Valerie comes up with the idea of hiring Jorik. Julius is not averse and makes Jorik an attractive offer. Will Jorik accept it? Jorik and Simon are overwhelmed by Amelie’s demand that they settle the overnight question between themselves. Both want to back off voluntarily. But then Jorik confesses to Amelie the real reason why he absolutely wanted to stay overnight with her: he is still struggling with the separation. Svenja struggles with her promise to Jenny to look after Till and Bella. Till just plays games and Bella shuts down completely. Then Jenny appears to her in a daydream and encourages her.

Till is trapped in his grief and doesn’t want to let anyone get close to him - especially not Svenja. When he can’t stand it at home any longer, he just runs off and ends up with Simon on the goat farm. Simon takes him under his wing and has an idea how Till can say goodbye to his mother. Jorik and Julius have a deal: Jorik will renovate the roof of the Askanier Park for a small price and Julius will help him become independent. Meanwhile, Amelie learns of Hendrik’s death and lets Jorik console her in a moment of weakness. He immediately gives himself false hope... Britta and Svenja support each other in their shared grief. But that doesn’t change the fact that Britta feels guilty about Hendrik’s death. She tries to throw herself into work, but immediately clashes with Noah in the hospital. He is hurt by Britta’s unfair accusations, but tries not to let it show. But Amelie is there for Britta and can support her in her pain.

Britta is in denial mode and delegates everything to do with Hendrik’s funeral to Amelie and Ben. She herself is only concerned with taking over the practice. When she asks Carla for help to come from the USA, a misunderstanding arises: she thinks Carla doesn’t have time for her. Helpless, Britta becomes more and more unfair to her fellow human beings… until Carla suddenly stands in front of her. Noah predicts to Leyla that they will end up in bed - ridiculous, Leyla thinks. Until she realizes that she really likes him. She tries to make it clear to Noah in a matter-of-fact way that an affair between them as colleagues and roommates could be problematic. But the temptation is greater... Amelie and Jorik can finally talk things out and Jorik realizes that he wanted to bend Amelie too much to his ideas. When Franka gets a job offer from Munich, she is concerned about leaving Ben alone in his grief for Hendrik.

Before the funeral, Britta is overwhelmed by her grief. Only at the last moment does she manage to face the funeral. Ben’s spontaneously improvised eulogy catches her, but the farewell is harder than she thought. Till tries to block out the loss of his mother and has also kept her death a secret at school. When he needs a doctor’s note for the days he was absent, he steals Noah’s notepad. When Svenja finds out about this and wants to talk to Till, he is overwhelmed and tells her that he wishes she had died instead of his mother. When Valerie hears that a millionaire has checked into the hotel, she senses her chance. Jolina is annoyed and makes Valerie believe that Michael is the millionaire, which ends in an embarrassing misunderstanding. When Jolina is then asked to take care of the wealthy guest, Valerie goes crazy and locks Jolina in the cold storage room. Noah reacts unemotionally after having sex with Leyla, which upsets Leyla against her will.

Hendrik’s funeral awakens bad memories of Torben’s death in Amelie. She is happy to have Jorik by her side, who shows her how much she means to him. She feels supported by him and so the two have sex. Svenja is hurt by Till’s rigorous rejection, but decides to be there for him anyway. However, when Till is brought home drunk in broad daylight, Svenja is unsure whether she is up to her new tasks. Britta manages to say goodbye to Hendrik - with a touching speech at the funeral and at the place where Hendrik died. When Britta is afraid of being alone afterwards, she realizes: she is never alone in the rose house. Valerie continues to try to get close to the US millionaire Herwig Schiller. But he turns her down because of her pregnant belly. Valerie is humiliated. After her repeated misbehavior, Julius can no longer keep his little sister at the hotel and throws her out for good.

Before her appointment at the youth welfare office, Svenja wants to clarify with Bella and Till what their future might look like. It becomes clear that Till has felt neglected by her for a long time. Svenja is shocked - she hadn’t realized that. Nevertheless, she wants to take responsibility for the children. But do Bella and Till want that too? Shortly before Franka leaves for Munich, her temporary worker at the nursery falls ill. Tina offers to step in temporarily. But Valerie warns Franka: Tina has her eye on Ben. Is there anything to that? Amelie and Jorik’s tryst comes to an abrupt end when Simon and Henni suddenly appear in the bedroom. Shortly afterwards, half of Lüneburg mistakenly believes that the two are a couple again. Bella has to take her last oral exam via video. But the Rosenhaus has an internet problem. Leyla, Noah, but above all Elyas come to her aid and she passes the exam. Secretly, Elyas hopes that he has come one step closer to Bella in this way.

Bella is happy that Svenja wants to look after her and Till. Till, on the other hand, hopes that the youth welfare office can find her father. Bella doesn’t understand Till and the two get into a heated argument. After that, Till withdraws and Bella is very worried about her brother. Valerie unsettles Franka: Does Tina really want to win Ben back? Franka decides to trust Ben and asks Valerie not to spy on Tina any more while she is away. Will Valerie stick to this? Britta regrets that Carla and Michael have to leave again. But she is grateful to have Svenja and Amelie with her in Lüneburg. Amelie and Jorik feel as if the whole of Lüneburg is happy that they are a couple again. It goes so far that Johanna registers them for the election as «Heidepaar 2024». There is a spark between Leyla and Noah and the two try to play it down by having a little competition about whose job is more important. But the attraction is greater.

Svenja gets custody of Bella and Till from the youth welfare office, but offers them the opportunity to live alone. Everyone is happy until Bella has doubts: Is Till mature enough to take responsibility for himself? Till feels patronized by Bella. The situation escalates and Till wants to move in with his father. Britta meets a shirt-sleeved but charming man while jogging. For the first time since Hendrik’s death, she experiences a carefree moment and immediately feels guilty. When she meets the stranger again, a misunderstanding arises and Britta keeps her distance. Until Svenja introduces the man to her as her father, Heiner. Henni and Britta are thrilled that Amelie and Jorik are part of the Heide couple’s election. In order not to disappoint them, Amelie and Jorik decide to keep up appearances and let the matter run its course. Tina trains Valerie in the garden center and recognizes her talent for flower arranging - Valerie is surprised.

Mo unexpectedly turns up at Julius’ door and wants to talk. Overwhelmed, Julius throws him out, he doesn’t want to hear Mo’s attempts to explain. But Mo doesn’t let up and admits to Julius in an emotional exchange that leaving Julius was his biggest mistake. Valerie finds Tina more and more likeable and is convinced that Tina is no longer interested in Ben. Until Tina and Ben agree to have dinner together on their wedding day. Valerie’s mistrust flares up again and she tells Tina straight out that she still loves Ben. Tina feels caught out... Till has to accept that the search for his father is hopeless. Until Leyla tells him about Jenny’s last words: the emperor. Till is convinced that must be her father’s name - Bella finds that absurd. Heiner tries to clear up the misunderstandings between him and Britta, but only makes things worse. A dog that apparently doesn’t belong to anyone runs up to Elyas. Bella immediately falls in love with the dog and Elyas decides to keep him.

Bella is becoming too responsible for Till, but she doesn’t want to tell Svenja about it. To distract the children, Svenja takes them to a gig of her former band «Girl Front». They finally have fun together. But Till skips school the next day and continues to focus on finding his father. Bella, overwhelmed, asks Svenja to move in with them in the Rosenhaus. Noah and Simon make Leyla aware of different ways in which she could be admitted to medical school even with a bad numerus clausus. Julius cannot accept Mo’s apology. The hurt is too deep. Mo tries to accept it. But the more Mo and Julius try to avoid each other, the more often they bump into each other unintentionally. After an evening together with Ben, Tina realizes that Valerie is right - she still has feelings for Ben. Could Ben feel the same? But then she hears how in love Ben is on the phone with Franka. There is no room for her here anymore.

Amelie and Jorik start the election campaign for the «Heather Couple of the Year» for Britta and Henni’s sake - without being a couple. Amelie is in competition mode and hopes to get lots of sympathy points by taking a photo with Henni. But Jorik is opposed: no photo of Henni on the internet. Amelie gives in. Shortly afterwards, a photo of Henni appears on the internet and Jorik is seething with anger. Leyla is considering following Noah’s idea and studying medicine in Hungary. Mo doesn’t think that’s the right path for her. And the more Noah talks about money and success, the clearer Leyla sees and suddenly knows what she wants. Svenja tells Bella that she will move into the rose house and look after Till. But he is looking for his father again and is skipping school. When Svenja finds out, Till is honest with her and the two become closer. Valerie tells Ben about her suspicion that Tina wants him back.

Mo’s company from Florence checks in for a seminar at the «Drei Könige». Julius tries to handle the situation professionally. But then he and Mo get stuck in the elevator and Julius’ suppressed disappointment breaks out of him: Mo should disappear from his life forever. Svenja invites them to dinner at the Rosenhaus - but everyone except Simon cancels. The two spend an evening together. Elyas suspects that Simon has fallen in love with Svenja. Simon denies this, he just finds her interesting. Jorik and Amelie become more and more entangled in lies due to the election as Couple of the Year. They decide to tell Henni and Britta the truth and withdraw their candidacy. But they don’t manage it. Lilly is afraid that the person who caused the accident will get away with it. Britta tries to calm her down, but admits to Heiner that she has the same fear. He advises her not to brood over things, but to distract herself with work. Britta returns to the clinic and is greeted soberly by Noah.

Julius is uncomfortable with his emotional outburst in the elevator. And Mo has to accept that Julius no longer wants to have contact with him. Mo is all the more surprised when Julius takes over the supervision of his fragrance workshop in the hotel. Svenja feels that she cannot do justice to Bella, Till or her job in the hotel. She confides in Heiner that she feels overwhelmed in her role as a surrogate mother. Heiner then decides to move to Lüneburg to be with his daughter. Amelie is determined to win the Heath Couple of the Year competition. She wants to use the prize money to help Britta build the wheelchair skate park in memory of Hendrik. So she gains access to the competition tasks and urges Jorik on energetically. Britta believes she is on the trail of the driver who caused the accident when a suspicious patient disappears in the hospital. Noah warns not to suspect anyone too quickly and is right: the patient was involved in another accident.

The preparations for the selection of the heather couple become a challenge for Jorik and Amelie. First they are handcuffed to each other, then they have to recite their vows of love to Johanna. Amelie surprises them with an emotional speech. Svenja drives to Münster with Bella and Heiner takes care of Till in the meantime. Things are going rather poorly, because Heiner tries to lure Till away from the computer. But he won’t listen to him. Britta believes that she is coping better with her grief every day. Lilly has a different opinion of her mother. After a failed dare, she has to be treated in the emergency room and asks Noah not to tell Britta about it. She doesn’t want to burden her mother with it. Julius sets rules for Mo’s fragrance workshop: they meet on a purely professional level, private matters are ignored. Mo agrees, even if it is difficult for him.

Britta becomes suspicious when Noah refuses to say why the police are questioning him about the accident again. What is he hiding from her? She searches Noah’s room and finds photos of his car - which has since been sold. And everything fits: the color and model are identical to the car that was involved in the accident and the car has accident damage. Britta believes that Noah caused the accident and confronts him with the accusation. Mo is fascinated by the goat farm and wants to move his fragrance workshop there. When he and Julius take a tour of the site, a close moment develops between the two. Till flees from the argument with Heiner to the goat farm. There he realizes that Simon has his eye on Svenja. While Simon manages to arrange a date with Svenja, Till reconciles with Heiner and consoles Bella. She is upset because of a sensational newspaper article about the accident. On the evening of the Heidepaar competition, Amelie and Jorik see their chances of winning dwindle.

Noah can’t believe that Britta is accusing him of causing the accident. Britta is determined to convict Noah and in doing so she oversteps boundaries - she snoops into Noah’s past and calls his former colleagues. Noah then threatens to report her. Amelie and Jorik give it their all in the «Heidepaar» competition and, to their own surprise, win. In the euphoria of victory, they can’t help but sink into a kiss. Julius tries in vain to suppress his resurgent feelings for Mo. Mo feels the same way and so the two continue to be very distant. Only when Julius understands how hurtful his behavior towards Mo is does he take a step towards him. But when Mo starts to apologize, he is interrupted by an important phone call. Elyas and Bella take the dog Hermine to farmer Petersen’s farm and grow closer in the process. There could be a kiss between Svenja and Simon - if it weren’t for Svenja’s common sense.

Mo enthusiastically tells Julius about his Italian colleague Riccardo. When a misdirected text message goes to Julius instead of Riccardo, Julius becomes jealous and believes that something is going on between Mo and Riccardo. But when Mo makes it clear that he will never love anyone but Julius, Julius is speechless. After their victory as a «heathen couple», Jorik is perplexed to realize that he and Amelie must continue to pretend to be a couple - for advertising appearances and for Britta. Because Amelie cannot bring herself to tell her sister the truth. Jorik is all the more surprised when Amelie honestly suggests trying again as a couple. Heiner offers Britta to look for evidence of Noah’s innocence with her at the accident site. Britta does not know whether this is good for her. She is repeatedly overcome by her grief, which Heiner finds worrying. Elyas believes that the dog Hermione is being sought by her owner. In order not to worry Bella, he doesn’t tell her about it.

Amelie and Jorik try to rekindle their feelings, which is not so easy alongside the prestigious appointments as a «heathen couple». While Jorik continues to believe in a future together, Amelie has doubts. Svenja meets the attractive Arthur through a mishap. When they run into each other a second time, Svenja agrees to a bet: if they meet by chance for a third time, Svenja has to give Arthur her number. In the laundry, Arthur gets a tip from Elyas about where he can meet the beautiful stranger, apparently by chance. Svenja sees through the trickery and demands something in return. Britta is looking forward to Sam and Joe’s visit, but at the same time is afraid that a meeting so soon after Hendrik’s death could be too stressful. But it is good for everyone to be together again. Julius confesses to Valerie how difficult it is for him to withdraw from Mo. In the end, he cannot overcome his fear and jealously attacks Mo because of his colleague Riccardo.

Arthur tries in vain to persuade Svenja to go on a date. Only when he helps her out of a professional emergency and offers his services as a spice sommelier does Svenja give in. The flirtation becomes more intense and the two end up in Arthur’s bed. Julius confesses to Mo that he still has feelings for him, but can no longer trust him. He needs time with Mo to build up trust again. So Mo tries to persuade his employer to stay in Lüneburg longer. Jorik doesn’t want to accept that Amelie no longer wants to be with him. He would love to show Henni that he and Amelie are the perfect couple - even without the «heather couple» title. But Jorik also has to painfully accept that his feelings for Amelie are no longer enough for a relationship. Just when Britta thinks she has gotten over the worst of her grief, a delayed package from Hendrik arrives. The grief and pain catch up with her again. When Britta can’t stand it anymore, she tries to take refuge in work.

Britta clashes with Noah again in the hospital. She thinks he almost gave a patient the wrong medication. When Heiner finds out that Britta has given Noah time off, he suspects that Britta is not seeing things clearly because of her grief. Britta thinks Heiner is intrusive and tells him to move out of the Rose House immediately. Svenja is inspired after having sex with Arthur, but keeps it to herself. Arthur, meanwhile, is interested in the orphans left by the accident. He runs into Till at his school - without knowing who Till is. When Arthur asks him about the orphans, Till avoids the question. Valerie wants to have a mommy makeover after the birth. However, this is very expensive and her attempts to get money fail. Elyas plans to turn the laundry into a singles exchange. He wants to attract new customers with «Wash, wait and Date». Bella helps him with the transformation and Elyas falls more and more in love with Bella.

Valerie doesn’t want Julius to get involved with Mo again. She schemes to prevent the two from meeting and accuses Mo of having a relationship with his mentor. Mo can’t believe that Julius is falling for Valerie’s lie and wants to know from Julius who he believes more: him or Valerie? Svenja is shocked when she finds out that Till is being bullied at school. Till doesn’t think it’s that bad, after all he had help: Arthur. Bella is critical of this, what does the guy want from Till? Svenja, on the other hand, has no idea that she is having an affair with Till’s rescuer of all people. And Till is gaining more and more trust in Arthur. He admits to him that he and Bella are the children who lost their mother in the accident. Arthur realizes: he has found his children. Heiner realizes that he can’t patronize Britta like that. He apologizes to her and Britta agrees that Heiner can stay in the rose house. Jorik and Henni say goodbye to Amelie and Lüneburg with a heavy heart.

Bella becomes increasingly suspicious of why Till spends so much time with Arthur. She decides to disrupt a meeting between the two. But Svenja unknowingly gets there first. Arthur realises that Svenja, of all people, is his son’s godmother. Finally overwhelmed, Arthur wants to leave Lüneburg, but is confronted by Till, Bella and Svenja and confesses: He is Arthur Kaiser, Till and Bella’s father. Julius does not want to choose between his sister and Mo. He senses Valerie’s genuine despair over the unwanted pregnancy and knows that he has to be there for her now. Mo does not have to keep fighting for him - Julius’ trust in Mo is destroyed. They no longer have a chance. Ben is annoyed by Heiner’s tendency towards chaos. When Ben vents his anger to Valerie, he has no idea that Heiner is listening to everything. Amelie wants to help Britta out of her grief and convinces her to take a break with Inken and Nicos on Corfu. Britta agrees, but has one condition.

After Arthur comes out as Bella and Till’s father, Bella withdraws. Till, on the other hand, tries to talk to his father, who is also overwhelmed. Svenja immediately suppresses her feelings for Arthur. Not only out of contempt for his previous behavior, but also to protect Bella and Till. But Arthur has fallen in love with Svenja and wants to fight for her. Heiner is hurt because Ben thinks he is a powerless pensioner. Johanna tries in vain to reconcile the two quarrelers. And so one blames the other for repairing Johanna’s broken faucet. Elyas is looking for a new tenant for Simon’s old shared room. It’s a good thing that Svenja’s half-sister Toni wants to move to Lüneburg and is looking for a room. Noah isn’t happy. But maybe Noah finds Toni more likeable than he admits. When Mo no longer fights for Julius’s love, Julius tries not to lose contact with Mo and clings to the shared fragrance concept for the hotel.

Julius is torn between his feelings for Mo. Is he developing the fragrance concept just to be near Mo? When Mo presents his latest creation, Julius listens to his gut feeling and kisses Mo. Svenja turns Arthur down - he should rather take care of his children. Nevertheless, Arthur tries to persuade Svenja to meet up, also to explain himself. But Svenja doesn’t want to hear anything. Instead, she arranges to meet Simon. But then she has to take care of the distraught Till. Arthur realizes that he is no help to anyone and should leave Lüneburg. But Till needs him right now. The tussle between Ben and Heiner reaches a new high point when Johanna’s kitchen is flooded. The men decide to avoid each other - and involuntarily meet again. Toni and Noah’s mutual sympathy leads them straight to Noah’s bed. The next morning, both are relieved that they only kissed. But is there nothing more?

After their night together, Toni and Noah realise that they are colleagues. But the two take it easy. Until Toni hears that Noah is suspected of being the driver who fled the scene of the accident. Toni becomes skeptical and Noah behaves increasingly suspiciously. When Toni lays flowers for Jenny at the scene of the accident, she meets Noah - who is looking for something. Toni wants clarity and asks Noah directly: Is he the driver? Did he kill Jenny? Bella is suffering from the pressure of the exam and the family situation with Arthur. Her heart feels a little lighter when she and Elyas decide to adopt dog Hermine together. When Bella admits how important Elyas is to her, they kiss. The presentation of the Three Kings fragrance flops. Things are getting tight for Mo professionally. Noah is hurt that Toni suspects him of being the driver of the accident and leaves her without an answer. Together with Heiner, Toni searches the scene of the accident for evidence and they find it. Heiner is now clear that Noah is guilty and he hands the evidence over to the police. Toni, on the other hand, still has doubts. But when the «Heideecho» publicly pillories Noah, Noah wants to flee the city. When Arthur accidentally interrupts Svenja’s date with Simon, she makes a clear statement to him: Arthur should stay out of her life beyond looking after Till and Bella. Bella and Elyas finally confess their feelings for each other after their failed kiss.

Till skips school because he is being bullied again. Arthur solves the problem pragmatically and gives Till’s classmates money. Svenja thinks that’s impossible - as always, Arthur can only solve the problems with money. Till, on the other hand, is delighted. He realizes that his father has supported the family financially before. But when Arthur confesses to Till that he only wanted to buy himself out of his responsibility, he is bitterly disappointed in his father. Toni tells Noah how she herself was wrongly suspected of a crime in the past and is thus able to prevent him from fleeing. He is grateful for Toni’s support. But when the public prosecutor actually charges him with hit-and-run resulting in death, Noah doesn’t know what to do. Ben and Heiner become fiercely competitive for the title of best neighbor in the house. It is only through the intervention of Johanna and Lilly that the two squabblers realize that they actually like each other.
