With only a few days left until the release of Grand Theft Auto VI, Rockstar Games is inviting players to explore the online modes of Red Dead Redemption 2. Despite not having released a new game in the series since 2018, the company continues to offer regular new events and rewards for Red Dead Online. The current event will end on May 4, and players can take advantage of this last opportunity to earn various free bonuses and rewards.
In an update shared via Twitter/X, Rockstar Games announced fishing-themed rewards. This week, players can claim a free Rod and earn 5 times RDO$ when they sell their catches to the Butcher. Additionally, competitive anglers participating in the Fishing Challenge Free Roam Event will earn 5 times RDO$ and Experience Points until May 4.
The rewards offered during the event are not limited to these. Players can earn 3 times RDO$, Gold, and Experience Points in Call to Arms missions. Similarly, all Trader Sales offer 3 times RDO$, Experience Points, and Role Experience rewards. Players who complete five Trader Sales can unlock the Fortune Buckle, while those who complete all Trader Daily Challenges can unlock the Tennessee Walker Camp Flag.
Traders who reach Level 20 can earn the Burdall Hat. The Wheeler, Rawson & Co. Catalog also features Danube and Tasman Outfits, Charro Jacket, Chambliss Corset, and Fernwater Coat. In addition, players can join the Hardcore Saint Denis Series, which will also end on May 4.
Although the release of Red Dead Redemption 3 is far in the future, the second game still provides an excellent foundation for Rockstar to offer new experiences. Considering the successful efforts of modders worldwide, Red Dead Redemption 2 players can expect to see plenty of new content in the coming years.
