She gained attention in the film world for her role as the German officer's love interest in "The Night of the Generals" (1967) and as the wife of Stanley Baker's criminal character in "Robbery" (1967). One of Pettet's most well-known roles is that of Kay Strong in the film "The Group" (1966), adapted from Mary McCarthy's novel. Kay marries an alcoholic and deceitful playwright and meets a tragic end. Joanna Pettet's contributions to the film and television world made her an unforgettable figure.
