Guy Ritchie is Working on a New Crime Series "Capital"

The last few years have been a rollercoaster for Guy Ritchie. Despite achieving success on the small screen, he has struggled to find a major box office hit in cinema. In 2025, Ritchie directed episodes of the hit Paramount Plus crime series "MobLand," starring Tom Hardy and Pierce Brosnan. After some controversies earlier this year, "MobLand" got back on track, and Paramount released the first trailer for Season 2 this morning. Ritchie also found success this year with the prequel series "Young Sherlock," which aired on Prime Video. All episodes of "Young Sherlock" were released in March, garnering enough interest to receive a Season 2 renewal; however, the return date for the series has yet to be announced.
Ritchie faced challenges this year with his first feature film of 2026, "In The Grey." This action thriller, starring Henry Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal, did not meet expectations at the box office and has since found a second life on VOD platforms like Prime Video. However, like any talented writer/director/producer, Ritchie continues to search for his next big project and has officially turned his attention to a new endeavor. According to reports this morning, Ritchie is working with Rob Williams, one of the producers of "Young Sherlock," to develop a new crime series called "Capital" for Prime Video.
Since the development stage is still early, no information has been released about the cast. However, the series is described as exploring London's ruthless crime world in a modern way. It seems Ritchie is preparing to bring the magic of "MobLand" to Prime Video. This new project stands out as an exciting development for Ritchie fans and looks to be a production that viewers will eagerly anticipate.
