Set in Japan in 2071, the story revolves around mysterious monsters known as Aragami, which have nearly destroyed the world. An organization called Fenrir uses weapons known as “God Arcs,” created from the cells of the Aragami, to eliminate them. Those who specialize in killing Aragami are called “God Eaters.” Initially, God Eaters could only use one type of God Arc, either in blade or gun mode. However, with the discovery of a new type, they can now switch between these two weapon types. Since then, God Eaters have been divided into two categories: new-type and old-type.
