In the world of Assiah, demons live in hell. The two dimensions are not meant to interfere with each other, yet demons still manage to have creatures in Assiah. Humans who can fight these demons are known as exorcists. Rin Okumura is a child cursed with being the illegitimate son of Satan. His guardian father sacrificed himself to save him from demons. Rin decides to follow the path of an exorcist to take revenge on his stepfather and prove himself by defeating his own father, Satan. Rin enters True Cross Academy to develop his raw skills and trains alongside other exorcist candidates.
