It is adapted from the manga by Ookubo Atsushi published in Shounen Gangan. Set in a Shinigami technical school that trains weapon technicians, the series revolves around three teams, each consisting of a weapon technician and a human weapon. The technicians strive to transform their weapons into a "Death Scythe" suitable for use by Shinigami. To achieve this, they need to collect the souls of 99 evil humans and one witch.
