The Witcher universe is entering an exciting new era. The officially announced expansion pack for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Songs of the Past, is set to be released this year. Additionally, The Witcher 4 is planned for release in 2027. CD Projekt Red is preparing to shape the future of The Witcher 5 and 6 by transitioning from Geralt to Ciri, putting Ciri in the spotlight.

While there are no definitive details about the story development of Geralt and Ciri, it is certain that Witcher fans will have a grand experience with both Songs of the Past and The Witcher 4. If these projects aren't exciting enough, The Witcher: Legacy is expected to release in the summer of 2027. This game will offer the opportunity to hunt down the enemies that nearly destroyed the Wolf School.

The Witcher: Legacy is a new game announced in 2025 and currently in development. It presents an amazing adventure that puts players in the role of a Witcher hunting those trying to destroy the Wolf School. Officially licensed by Go On Board and CD Projekt Red, this story-driven board game is designed for one to four players in individual or cooperative game modes.

Set before Geralt's time, the campaign explores the story of the surviving Witchers investigating the collapse of the Wolf School following the devastating attack on Kaer Morhen. The game is built around a branching narrative where players' decisions permanently shape future sessions. Players will develop their characters by hunting monsters in Kaedwen and the Northern Kingdoms, enhancing their combat decks and brewing potions. Following the great success of The Witcher: Old World, Legacy is expected to release in 2027 as one of CD Projekt Red's largest board game collaborations to date.
