Fashion in The Devil Wears Prada 2: How the Turquoise Sweater, Balenciaga Dress, and Dior Outfits Came to Life
Costume designer Molly Rogers, who read the script for The Devil Wears Prada 2, immediately called 20th Century Studios to insist that the iconic turquoise sweater from the original film should also appear in the sequel. Director David Frankel instantly agreed with this idea. This is because Miranda's famous monologue about Andy's ordinary cable-knit sweater has become a cultural moment in cinema history, and it was clear that this symbol should be referenced in the sequel.
