Reese Witherspoon's iconic character Elle Woods became known through the 2001 film Legally Blonde and gained even more popularity with the 2003 sequel Red, White and Blonde. However, the series Elle, streaming on Prime Video, explores Elle's high school years, offering viewers a deeper look into her experience of moving to Seattle. The series consists of eight episodes and has been renewed for a second season, with filming already completed.

Caroline Dries, one of the show's co-producers, emphasized the importance of telling Elle's story in more depth, noting that the opportunity to explore her relationships with her family is more effective in a series format. Dries stated, "A lengthy narrative enhances the character's depth and allows us to present the story in a more dynamic way."

The show's director, Jason Moore, highlighted the significance of the time depth that the series format offers. Moore remarked, "Exploring a character over four to five hours provides much more depth than a 90-minute film ever could," adding that the characters surrounding Elle are drawn with less depth, but the series allows for better development of these characters.

The Elle series not only gives viewers the chance to watch the development of the main character but also the characters around her, bringing a fresh perspective to the Legally Blonde universe. This new approach promises an exciting experience for both longtime fans and new viewers.
