Exciting developments are happening for Game of Thrones fans. Currently, as House of the Dragon's third season is airing, many new projects are on the way, including the real-time strategy game War for Westeros expected to be released this year and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which is set to arrive in 2027. This indicates that the Game of Thrones universe is being revitalized.

Despite containing some differences from George R.R. Martin's Fire & Blood, House of the Dragon has reached viewer interest and ratings comparable to those during the original series' airing on HBO. If you think the projects planned for the franchise are already exciting, a new announcement has officially declared that Game of Thrones has entered a new era.

The A Song of Ice and Fire universe is stepping into a new phase with the story-driven action-adventure RPG Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, developed by Netmarble and set to launch in the summer of 2025. According to a new announcement from the developers, the first official season of Kingsroad, titled Frost and Steel, will begin on Wednesday, July 15.

The Frost and Steel season, starting this week, introduces the game's first large-scale seasonal progression system. Instead of open warfare, the season focuses on a competitive tournament organized by the great houses of the North. Players become champions fighting for the honor of their chosen faction. Since its official release in the Asian market on PC, iOS, and Android platforms in May 2026, Kingsroad has received significant attention.
