Czech cinematographer Jana Hojdová premiered her documentary "Robert Richardson: The White Devil" dedicated to the renowned cinematographer Robert Richardson at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. This documentary offers an in-depth look at Richardson's life and career, garnering significant interest at the festival. Hojdová undertook a long and challenging journey to bring this project to life.

As a film student, Hojdová admired Richardson's work and reached out to the American Society of Cinematographers to develop a better understanding of his craft. During this process, she managed to establish a special bond with Richardson, which also guided her own career as a director. The documentary reflects not only Richardson's career but also Hojdová's personal development.

Another significant role for Hojdová at the festival was working as the cinematographer on Šimon Holý's film "Chica Checa," which participated in the Crystal Globe competition. By being involved in these two projects, she showcased her talents in both directing and cinematography.
