A New Cheetah Girls Movie is Coming from Disney

Disney announced on Wednesday that a new film titled "The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen" has been greenlit for Disney Channel and Disney+. This new project will feature Debra Martin Chase, one of the producers of the original trilogy, and lead actress Raven-Symoné. Raven-Symoné will reprise her role as Galleria, while Adrienne Bailon returns as Chanel.

The cast will also include original cast member Sabrina Bryan making a "special appearance" as Dorinda. Lynn Whitfield and Lori Alter will return as Dorothea and Juanita, respectively. These comebacks will provide a nostalgic experience for fans.

In the new film, Leah Sava’ Jeffries (Percy Jackson and the Olympians) will play Faith, Galleria's daughter, Carmen Sanchez (Electric Bloom) will portray Dior, Chanel's sister, Kaileen Chang will take on the role of Ruby, and Sophie Lennon will play Brooklyn. Additionally, South African newcomer Kamogelo Ramashala will portray Kendi.

According to the film's official synopsis, the story begins with Galleria (Symoné) and Chanel (Bailon) taking Galleria's daughter Faith (Jeffries) and three friends to volunteer at a wildlife conservation area in Africa. As these four young girls test their friendship, they will find their voices and discover the true spirit of the Cheetah while trying to save the conservation area. Along the way, they will take the stage and create unforgettable moments for audiences as the new Cheetah Girls.
