Justin Baldoni broke his silence following a lengthy legal battle with his co-star Blake Lively from the film "It Ends With Us." In a video posted on his Instagram account, he shared with his wife Emily Baldoni how their family has navigated the past two years. This case was among the events that shook Hollywood and erupted in August 2024.

In the video, Baldoni stated, “We didn’t speak to the public over the last two years because we had so much to say. But each time, something held us back from talking. It didn’t feel like the right time.” The film "It Ends With Us" is adapted from the work of author Colleen Hoover and was both directed by and starred Baldoni.

Justin and Blake expressed that they felt it was the right time to speak out with this video after reaching a settlement before the trial. The court ruled that Baldoni would pay Lively’s attorney fees, but no additional compensation was awarded.

In the video, the couple expressed that "gratitude saved them" over the past two years. However, Emily emphasized that the gratitude they felt did not erase the injustices and pain they experienced. Baldoni remarked, “We had to try to understand how something like this could happen. The fact that everything was masked as a fight for women’s rights led to a lot of questioning.”
