A24's horror film Backrooms, which achieved great success at the box office, has now transitioned from theaters to homes. Available for viewing via premium video on demand (PVOD) on Prime Video and Apple TV, the film is one of the most talked-about original horror productions of the year. Inspired by viral internet mythology and Kane Parsons' popular YouTube series, the film tells the story of a therapist who enters a mysterious labyrinth to find a missing patient.

Produced with a budget of less than 10 million dollars, Backrooms has surprised Hollywood by grossing over 364 million dollars worldwide. The film earned a record-breaking 81.4 million dollars in its opening week in the U.S. Now, viewers have the opportunity to experience this phenomenon in their homes. Although it is not yet available with a monthly streaming subscription, viewers can watch the film through PVOD. The rental price is set at 19.99 dollars, while digital purchase is priced at 24.99 dollars.

Backrooms will be available to watch on Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV starting July 14, 2026. Rental transactions offer a standard 30-day period to start watching, but must be completed within 48 hours once viewing begins. A paid Prime membership is not required; anyone can purchase or rent the film with a free Amazon account and watch it on compatible devices.
