Antoinette Bower, a British actress born in Germany, known for her roles in iconic series like The Twilight Zone and Star Trek, has passed away at the age of 93. Bower died on April 30 at a retirement home in Los Angeles. Her friend Carlotta Glackin, the great-niece of famed character actor Edward Everett Horton, confirmed the news to The Hollywood Reporter.
Throughout her career, Bower appeared in many unforgettable projects. She starred in the 1972 horror film Superbeast, filmed in the Philippines, and is remembered for her role as Leslie Nielsen's wife and Jamie Lee Curtis's mother in the 1980 slasher classic Prom Night. Additionally, she portrayed a character kidnapped by Charles Bronson in the 1984 film The Evil That Men Do.
In her television career, Bower gained popularity as Fox Devlin in the Canadian drama Neon Rider, which aired from 1989 to 1992. The series told the stories of troubled youth in British Columbia. Bower also made a lasting impression by playing the character Eve Norda in the episode "Probe 7, Over and Out" of The Twilight Zone, written by Rod Serling and directed by Ted Post.
