• Lt. Anne Morgan arrives on Ranakai with her fellow Waves as replacements for the motor pool, and Commander Roger Adrian is not happy.

• Commander Adrian sets out to fatten up the Waves, so they'll be transferred out because of overweight.

• Cmdr. Adrian confiscates a package of cosmetics intended for the Waves, and then declares that no cosmetics may be used for the duration of the war.

• The Navy has scheduled a battery of psychological tests to determine how the Waves are reacting to combat stress. When Adrian learns that Molly McGuire's morale is on the skids, he kindly advances the date of the tests.
