‘Stories of Ghosts’ has been rumored at the Seven Sisters Street for almost 10 years. It was a story happened before the war…Because of love, there were 7 sworn sisters committed suicide by the sea. The next day, their bodies were found, holdings hands in hands floating at the sea……

CHARM is the granddaughter of TING, who is the owner of a large medicine oil factory. However, TING’s love and care for CHARM always arouse the jealous of his elder daughter, JANE. Hence, Jane often accompany with TING’s second wife, WAN, to find faults at CHARM. Whilst CHARM affiliates with TING’s third wife, YUK, and becomes good friends. CHARM is disturbed by the shadow of KUEN, therefore, YUK suggests her to pray at the temple. On the way, CHARM met TONG again, she insists TONG to talk to KUEN and drags him into her car. In order to avoid arguing with CHARM, TONG follows CHARM’s request. Suddenly, KUEN appears and begins to tell her past. KUEN was forced to marry a rich tycoon by her father, so she sent a letter to her lover, SIN through her eldest sworn sister, FUN. Saying that she would like to end up her life with SIN at Seven Sister Street. KUEN eventually committed suicide and died but she cannot meet her lover SIN……

TONG’s uncle LUNG helps TUNG to look after the business at the beach whilst there are six sisters playing at the beach. Suddenly, someone is drowned; hence, LUNG jumps into the water and tries to save the girl. Unfortunately, he suffers a strain in his leg and faints. The next day, he is found naked, in the gap of a big stone. Everyone suspect the 7 sworn sisters did it. TONG begs KUEN to let go of his relatives when KUEN heard about the incident; she denies that she did it. TONG and CHARM finally moved by KUEN and agree to help her searching the reply letter. Just when TONG takes out the unknown letter to KUEN, Kuen begins to talk about SIN again. She said her lover, SIN was an actor, because of his disgrace status, he can treat KUEN has his sister only despite the intimate relationship has already built. This made KUEN very upset… YUEN baby-seats 2 children, who are very naughty and make her very angry……

Though TONG and CHARM try hard to search the reply letter for KUEN among the undelivered letters, the result is disappointing. Therefore, TONG fakes SIN to write a letter and cheats KUEN. But he was discovered by KUEN and his plan failed. KUEN remembers the first time she met SIN and still believes he won’t deceive in the vow. TONG is arrested for offence a police, TUNG and others are worried. YUEN asks for CHEONG’s assistance, hence, TONG is released at last. YUEN appreciates CHEONG’s help at heart.

Although KUEN’s family insulted SIN, he didn’t give up and set off to Guangzhou to look for better prospect. KUEN and SIN communicated by letters daily, however, as times went by, letters became less and less. KUEN decided to find SIN at Guangzhou alone. She discovered that SIN has become a cart-driver. It was because SIN misses KUEN too much and could not concentrate his composition of music. With the encourage of KUEN, SIN composed the masterpiece ‘Journey of Sorrow’ at last. SIN thought that he will be accepted by KUEN’s family after he became famous. But things happened against his will, her father locked up KUEN and sued SIN for kidnapping her.

In spite of the 6 sworn sisters refuse to take up the responsibility, TONG and CHARM success to force FUN to admits they betrayed KUEN. Originally, SIN appointed FUN to bring his reply letter to KUEN on behalf of him, however, in avoid of springing into trouble, the 6 sworn sisters decided to send the letter by mail. Unfortunately, because of the incorrect address, the letter never reaches KUEN’s hand and made the two lovers regret for the rest of their lives.

TONG, FUN and others question CHARM about SIN, CHARM utters with excuse and runs home. Though KUEN pleads CHARM many times, CHARM still keeps silence. JANE dissatisfies CHARM’s playful attitude of life and always find faults at her. Hence, CHARM says she will establish an advertising agency and designs a slogan for the medicine oil factory. TING is very pleased whilst JANE feels bitter. LING breaks PING’s fan carelessly which gave PING an excuse to scold TONG severely. In order to settle the dispute, TONG has to borrow money from CHARM to buy a new fan.

CHARM finds KUEN is weeping in the storeroom. Owing to KUEN has found a fan very alike to the one used by SIN before and she inspires that she will meet SIN very soon.

YUEN is drunk while she tried to go home. TONG meets CHEONG just when he tries to catch up with YUEN. TONG is anxious but he was accused by CHEONG in advance, for neglecting YUEN instead. TONG feels guilty about his carelessness.

With the hard work of TONG and CHARM, they finally complete the advertising proposal and present to TING. TING is content with CHARM’s effort and appoints JANE to assist CHARM in developing the advertising department in the factory. JANE is enraged. CHARM offers high salary to invite TONG to work in her medicine oil factory, PING and others support TONG happily.

In order to resume duty, TONG has to remit HK$150. Although TUNG wants to lend the money to TONG, PING forbidden, TUNG ends up in tortuous. JANE discovers CHARM dressed as ghost to threat Wan, therefore, forces YUK to tell the truth. Then JANE finds 2 exorcists, YUNG and KING to capture KUEN, KUEN is beaten severely. CHARM thinks that KUEN has escaped to FUN’s apartment, however, they haven’t seen KUEN’s arrival but suspect KUEN is still in TING’s house. KUEN is lying weakly on the floor, on the other hand, CHARM and others are yelling at the front door. WAN cheats them that KUEN has gone already. Meanwhile, JANE deceives KUEN to the library, where YUNG is prepared to intrude KUEN. KUEN struggles to see SIN’s letter but she ends up in despair when she found that it is just a delivery note. Eventually, CHARM and FUN break into the house, FUN asks KUEN hurry to hide in the umbrella. YUNG grasps the umbrella and continue to beat KUEN……

TUNG steals PING’s money to help TONG but failed. PING insists to bring the case to the police station. CHEONG pretends to be very caring and settles the case for PING, whose impressed YUEN. PING embarrasses CHARM when she goes to make up with TONG. CHARM feels guilty for making TONG unemployed and starts to cry. TONG understands her sorrow and comforts her instead. CHARM has not returned home for a few days, TING worries very much. On the other hand, when CHARM realizes YUK was suppressed by JANE and WAN, she feels pity for YUK.

TONG buys a ring and intends to propose to marry YUEN. CHARM believes the ring is not graceful enough; hence, she replaces it secretly. TONG finds out and ashamed to accept CHARM’s goodwill.

CHARM and YUK visit Kowloon City and make themselves into trouble with a dog butcher. The butcher takes the advantage to make them wash the dishes for her. KUEN inspires CHARM ahs trouble and tells TONG. TONG searches for CHARM everywhere and heard the screaming of CHARM. They are beaten and scolded by the butcher without any defense. Since Tong doesn’t have enough money, he brings along all the precious things in order to ask the butcher to release them. CHARM is moved.

JANE scared to lose SIN and conspires with YUNG to get ride of KUEN. KUEN cannot tolerate and confronts with JANE at last. Therefore, JANE begins to tell the inside story happened between SIN and herself.

CHARM suggests organizing a picnic as that KUEN can forget the past and enjoy herself. CHARM realizes that TONG dreams to have a restaurant, hence, she conspires with the 7 sworn sisters that TONG had won in the horse-racing game, so that he can use the money to make his dream comes true.

CHARM tries hard to learn cooking in order to surprise TONG. Reversing, she almost causes a fire in the kitchen, which made TONG very angry. TONG rebukes CHARM severely; as a result, she leaves with tears.

CHARM is ill seriously, TING worries CHARM will suffer from her previous sickness again but TING doesn’t want TONG to know. JANE is disappointed when her plan failed again. TONG knows that CHARM has to return to SHANGHAI for medical treatment, he worries a lot.

KUEN begins to tell SIN her past; SIN is touched by her story and feels sympathy for her. JANE finds SIN very suspicious and asks KIG to observe him. JANE is released when she saw SIN is so scared to hearing KUEN’s name.

Though TONG and CHARM are apart, they still write letter to each other. Knowing that CHARM is recovered, TONG is released. Tong doesn’t hear form CHARM for a while, he worries CHARM is sick again. Since LING is working in the medicine oil factory, TONG asks LING to observe CHARM’s news. With the information from JANE’s youngest brother, Tig, LING knows that CHARM is fine. TONG doubts that CHARM has forgot him, so he is unhappy. Suddenly, CHARM sneaks back to visit TONG; the two lovers enjoy a great time despite a short time apart.

JANE bribes CHEONG to usurp FUN’s apartment. KUEN inspires this and hide in TONG’s restaurant in advance. CHEONG arrests the 6 sworn sisters and insults them; moreover, he warns them forbid KUEN to see SIN again. FUN is furious when she knew that KUEN still went to see SIN. KUEN feels sorry for causing the trouble and promises to let go SIN. Since the letters between TONG and CHARM have to be pre-previewed by TING, sometimes, TING was editing the letters also. In view of this, CHARM asks for the assistance of SIN to deliver the letters to TONG on behalf of her. SIN enquiries the incident of KUEN from TUNG and would like to help her to reincarnate, furthermore, SIN establishes a foundation for KUEN in order to send her regards.

JANE decides to seek for YUNG’s tutor, KWAN to tackle against KUEN. YUEN and CHEONG’s wedding is called off suddenly, make TUNG and others puzzle. They find out that CHEONG was terminated because of having an affair with the mistress of his supervisor, meanwhile, he also in great debts. PING tells TONG about CHEONG’s indecent act and they decide to bring YUEN home. CHOENG reacts with madness and exposes the secret of YUEN that makes YUEN feels embarrass. KWAN intends to dig up KUEN’s tomb and get ride of her. The spirit of KUEN becomes weaker and weaker, fortunately, SIN and FUN aware and tries their best to hold on KUEN’s spirit until safe.

KWAN tells JANE that SIN is the lucky star of KUEN, furthermore, he asks JANE to watch closely on her husband. CHARM fails her examination and believes that she is unable to see TONG. Unexpectedly, TING was impressed by TONG’s character from the letter he wrote. He agrees to let CHARM returns to Hong Kong. CHEONG borrows money with TONG at the restaurant but is rejected. He punches TONG and starts a fight. YUEN tries to help TONG and is hurt. She is then sent to the hospital. CHARM and TING visit the restaurant, on their way, they heard rumors about TONG, which made TING very disappointed. CHARM realizes YUEN was sent to the hospital, she goes to visit her at once. SIN peels back layers of memories occasionally, which makes him deeply sympathies KUEN. KWAN advises JANE that KUEN will be vanished if SIN burned her wooden gravestone, so she begins to plot a plan. CHARM feels being neglected when TONG takes care of YUEN……

CHARM writes a love letter to express her love to TONG, however, she doesn’t receive the reply from TONG and feel despair. She regrets that she had written the letter and often imagines TONG and YUEN are teasing her. CHARM guesses that she is rejected by TONG, hence, becomes very upset. YUK worries about her a lot. At last, TONG explains about the incident of YUEN and tells CHARM that he still hasn’t opened the letter she wrote. Knowing that TONG didn’t reject herself. CHARM is released. TONG feels sweet at heart when he read CHARM’s letter. He goes back to the restaurant and rings CHARM. LING and LUNG find TONG is very suspicious and follows him. Just when TONG and CHARM is speaking tenderly over the telephone, LING and LUNG grasp the telephone and discover TONG’s girlfriend is CHARM. TONG and CHARM are in love at last, both of them treasure the relationship and gets along intimately……

Because of worries, SIN finds KUEN to discuss about JANE. KUEN is upset when she learnt that SIN cares about JANE so much. In order to damage KUEN’s affection to SIN, JANE hurts herself and impeaches KUEN again. SIN doubts and still rejects to burn KUEN’s wooden gravestones, JANE is furious when her plan was ineffective again. JANE falls off from the staircase and says that she was pushed by KUEN. TING frightens KUEN will hurt the baby so he orders SIN to burn KUEN’s wooden gravestone. SIN cheats KUEN to enter the gravestones and throws it into the fire unwillingly. YUNG and WAN are glad to see their plan is succeed at the end. Just when they left, SIN hurries to stop the fire and saved KUEN. SIN regrets for what he has done. TONG cannot withstand CHARM is being scolded by the guests in the restaurant, hence, discloses their relationship.

CHAR is pleased that TONG announced their relationship. Meanwhile, SIN discovers that the pregnancy of JANE is fake. SIN is angry and quarrels with JANE, furthermore, he decides to set off to Guangzhou for a while.

In order to settle the debts, TONG works very hard. But he still cannot forgive CHARM and treats CHARM coldly when he saw her at her house. CHARM is heart-broken.

The injury of SIN is serious; he cries out the dead one’s names unconsciously. JANE worries to lose SIN, she continue to sing the songs composed by SIN in sob. Whilst, KUEN appears and sings with JANE in order to waken SIN. SIN awakes at last. JANE appreciates the assistance of KUEN and KUEN’s spirit vanished in the rainbow at the end.

TONG and CHARM discover TIG has been dating LING, on the other hand, LUNG is getting along with FUN closely. Both couples feel shine when they were discovered by TONG and CHARM. CHARM suffers form her previous illness again. Because of bad experience in her childhood, she refuses to go to the hospital for medical treatment. With the support and encouragement of TONG, Charm agrees to have body check and finds out that she is suffering from carcinoma-hepatitis. TONG reads all the books in the library to seek for the indication for carcinoma-hepatitis. And, he determines to help HCARM in fighting against her sickness. His determination and love move CHARM. Owing to worries, TONG is exhausted and becomes very tense. Nevertheless, because of his bad temper, he quarrels with LUNG over a small matter. In order to settle the dispute, TONG takes the first step to reconcile wit LUNG at last……

CHARM realizes her sickness is in serious condition, so she wants to break up with TONG. TONG insists to stay with CHARM and they begin to kiss each other with deep love. CHARM is having a nightmare, she wakes up in the dark and believes herself is dead. Suddenly, the lights are switched on and she discovers that TONG and others have prepared a birthday party for her. CHARM is so excited and happy, hence, mixes her pleasure in pain.
