A day before the festival of Eid, Shams-ud-din Iltutmish, the ruler of the Delhi Sultanate, is addressing his subjects. Everyone, including the royal Turkish family, is in a festive mood. Iltutmish has replaced gold coins with silver coins. Shamshad Begum, Iltutmish's mother-in-law, is worried about her dead husband's fame. The Sultan's daughters, Razia and Shazia, are busy preparing special tokens of gift for him. Shamshad Begum is angry with Razia's ignoble behaviour.

Razia gets the third gift for the Sultan from Nizamuddin, a benevolent man who once saved the Sultan from the clutches of a cruel master. The Sultan is delighted to see Razia's gifts. Meanwhile, a messenger of death arrives with news. Fatima, one of Nizamuddin's slaves, is to be buried alive along with her dead master. She appeals to the Sultan and Razia for help. Only Razia, who is privy to more information about this situation, can help her.

In her quest to save Fatima, Razia tries to convince her father to release Fatima. The Sultan explains to her that he cannot bend the law for his daughter. Shamshad Begum punishes Razia for the same and isolates her from the Eid celebrations. Razia is worried about Fatima and is unable to decide between the path of virtue or the path of duty. Razia comes up with a plan to save Fatima.

Razia does the forbidden when she announces that she has witnessed the moon on the eve of Eid. Her bold action brings her in the crosshairs of the imams (religious heads of the Delhi Sultanate) and the commoners. Razia defends her actions by highlighting the discrimination made between men and women. The imams ask the Sultan to apologise to his subjects for his daughter's actions. Shamshad Begum and Qutub Begum, Razia's mother, are anxious.

Iltutmish decides to put his fate in the hands of the people of his kingdom. He asks the people to discard rituals which discriminate between men and women. The people support their Sultan. Razia goes to meet Fatima in prison. Shamshad Begum is unhappy with the Sultan's declaration. Razia helps with the Eid celebrations, while Qutub Begum waits for the Sultan. Razia is glad to see her mother happy. Meanwhile, a stranger makes her way towards the kingdom.

The royal family is enjoying a dance performance on Eid. Qutub Begum is looking forward to sweeping her husband off his feet. She has written a ghazal for her husband. Razia and Shazia plead with their mother to read it out. Before Qutub can complete her ghazal, an unknown voice stops her. Shah Turkan, the Sultan's mistress from Lahore, arrives and disrupts the celebrations. Qutub is shocked at Shah Turkan's audacity to come to her door. Meanwhile, Razia sneaks out of the palace.

Razia sneaks out of the palace to meet Nizamuddin's son. She encounters an arrogant young man harming a kid on her way. She decides to teach the man a lesson, unaware of what her actions might lead to. After reaching home, Razia consoles her mother, who is upset because of the arrival of Shah Turkan. Shamshad Begum alerts the palace household of the mistress's evil intentions. Turkan talks to the Sultan about her son.

Turkan gifts chopped fingers to her son, Rukn-ud-din Firuz. Aadila announces the arrival of Qutub's son, Nasiruddin Mahmud, who is returning after his training. The Sultan presents his daughters with gifts and Razia is delighted. Her happiness fades when she learns of the identity of the arrogant young man she had met. He is her stepbrother, Rukn-ud-din Firuz, son of Iltutmish and Shah Turkan. Qutub Begum slaps Shah Turkan when she learns about the Sultan's plan to spend Eid with Turkan.

Nizamuddin's son is releasing Fatima in exchange of Razia's silver coin, which she won from the Sultan. Qutub Begum after being challenged by Shah Turkan, approaches Razia with a request concerning the silver coin. Razia must decide between Fatima and her mother. Meanwhile, Shah Turkan and Rukn-ud-din prepare for celebrations with the Sultan. Razia receives a letter from Nasiruddin Mahmud, her elder brother. Razia's great-grandmother helps her find a solution to a problem she created.

The Sultan is going to celebrate Eid with Shah Turkan. Qutub Begum blames Razia for this misfortune. To save the day, Razia decides to send Fatima with a message to her brother, Nasir. He is on his way home after spending time at Ghazni with his mentor, Taj al-Din Yildiz, the Sultan of Ghazni and a friend of Iltutmish. Turkan is anxious to ask the Sultan to appoint her son as the Subedar of Delhi. Rana Martand, the commander-in-chief, interrupts the Sultan and Turkan's celebration.

Razia is happy about celebrating Eid with her father. She goes to meet her brother and requests him to not reveal the fact that she invited Taj al-Din Yildiz. Shah Turkan and Rukn-ud-din are left wondering why the Sultan isn't celebrating with them. With the arrival of Nasir and Taj al-Din Yildiz, the Sultan and the royal family start the Eid celebrations. On the other hand, anger is building up in Rukn-ud-din's mind. What has the mother-son duo planned next?

The king is impressed with Qutub's preparations for his friend, Taj al-Din Yildiz. Impressed, the Sultan urges Qutub Begum to ask for a gift. It gets awkward when Shah Turkan and Rukn-ud-din try to convert their defeat to a victory by crashing the royal Eid celebrations. Shah Turkan presents the Sultan with a gift and a dance. Razia presents the Sultan the tokens she had collected earlier. Shah Turkan endangers the Sultan's life and her own to win him over.

Shah Turkan reveals the ulterior motive behind saving the Sultan. Qutub Begum and Shah Turkan fight. The Sultan announces an open fight for the position of Subedar of Delhi. This adds more fuel to the clash between Nasir and Rukn-ud-din. Turkan sends a messenger to Razia. Taj al-Din Yildiz praises Razia when he is leaving. Razia shares her thoughts about her ideal husband with her siblings. Meanwhile, a stranger saves a woman lost in a caravan of camels.

Turkan extends a hand of friendship towards Razia. Razia is cautious of Turkan's manipulative schemes. Someone tries attacking Nasir and Razia plans to visit Khwaja's Dargah to pray for his safety. Meanwhile, Turkan and Qutub prepare their sons for the fight. The Sultan plans a different challenge for both his sons. Shah Turkan damages Nasir's horse. Mirza, a wanderer, hears about the royal announcement of an open fight and decides to try his luck. He too plans to go to the dargah.

The competition for the position of Subedar of Delhi is about to commence. Both Nasir and Rukn-ud-din have selected their swords. The Sultan has a hidden message for them in their swords. Meanwhile, Razia's excursion to the dargah is going well, until she crosses paths with Mirza, who is on his way to Delhi for the competition. Razia has an ittar dupatta that Mirza wants desperately. He attacks her to get his hands on it.

The Sultan sets the stage for the competition. Contestants hailing from different provinces must fight against savages and procure the Sultan's sword. Shah Turkan is worried about her son. Nasir leads the other contestants in the competition and fights bravely. He saves Rukn-ud-din from the savages, but Rukn-ud-din shows his true colours by going alone after the sword. Both Nasir and Rukn-ud-din catch hold of the sword at the same time. Meanwhile, Mirza observes the competition.

Both Nasir and Rukn-ud-din get hold of the sword at the same time. The Sultan now must declare one of them as the winner. A combat between both the contestants is declared. Shah Turkan and Rukn-ud-din are not playing by the rules. Nasir fights valiantly but is defeated because Shah Turkan sabotages his horse. Rukn-ud-din is on the verge of killing Nasir and is declared winner. Mirza, pretending to be the prince of Shahgarh, challenges Rukn-ud-din. Iltutmish allows the fight to continue.

A fight ensues between Mirza and Rukn-ud-din. Mirza is not deceived by Rukn-ud-din's tricks. Meanwhile, Razia, who is consoling her injured brother, is happy to see Mirza winning over Rukn-ud-din. Shamshad Begum is suspicious of foul play by Shah Turkan and Rukn-ud-din. Mirza disappears after the fight. It is revealed that Mirza is a slave. Meanwhile, his master is angry due to his absence.

Razia is happy with Rukn-ud-din’s defeat. But, the tables turn when Iltutmish learns that the real prince of Shahgarh is out on a trip. Shah Turkan wants Iltutmish to declare Rukn-ud-din the Subedar of Delhi. Shamshad Begum is afraid of the worst. Razia tries to save the day by convincing her father to wait for the mysterious winner. She has a hidden agenda behind this request. She wants a day to prove foul play. Meanwhile, Mirza kills his master, who killed one of Mirza's friend.

Shah Turkan is worried about Mirza ruining her son's chance to be the Subedar of Delhi. Meanwhile, Razia takes the matter into her hands and sets on to find clues to prove sabotage. Shah Turkan advices Rukn-ud-din to destroy any clue they left behind. Mirza is wanted for his master’s death and hides in the palace stables. Mirza and Razia bump into each other. Razia loses the clue she found. Razia confronts Rukn-ud-din, who threatens to kill her. Mirza saves her from Rukn-ud-din.

Razia threatens Rukn-ud-din, resulting in a fight. Nasir saves Razia. Rukn-ud-din provokes Nasir and they continue the fight. Iltutmish saves Rukn-ud-din from a furious Nasir. Shah Turkan and Rukn-ud-din manipulate Iltutmish to believe their innocence. They blame Razia and Nasir for scheming to win the title. The Sultan is misled with lies and deceit and declares the Subedar of Delhi. Mirza leaves the palace.

The royal family is not happy that Rukn-ud-din is now the Subedar of Delhi. Shamshad Begum advises Nasir and all the members of the family to show their lack of support by going to Multan. Shah Turkan warns Iltutmish about a mutiny. Razia does not agree with Shamshad Begum and asks Nasir to talk to their father. Rukn-ud-din pretends to be Iltutmish and deceives Nasir. Disappointed with his talk to Iltutmish, Nasir decides to leave for Multan.

Mirza loses the ittar dupatta. He, along with his friend, returns to the palace to get it back. Meanwhile, Rukn-ud-din discusses his intention to kill Iltutmish with Shah Turkan. The two prepare for the appointment ceremony. Nasir, along with the women of the royal family, goes to Multan. There, he is greeted by Qutub’s sister Uzma Begum and her husband Nasir ad-Din Qabacha. Razia stays back to mend relations with her father.

Iltutmish is surprised with the decision of the royal family. Razia tries to convince her father to call Nasir back home. Meanwhile, Rukn-ud-din is enjoying a bath, when he is interrupted by his mother. They plot to eliminate Nasir. There is tension between Qutub Begum and Uzma Begum. Mirza and his friend are sharing a meal, when soldiers arrive looking for them. He escapes and plans to go to Ghazni.

Shah Turkan warns Razia about her journey to Multan. Razia answers with a sharp reply, which shuts Shah Turkan up. Sultan is worried about Razia's safety. He shares his concern with Razia and Rana Martand, the Sultan's commander-in-chief. Shah Turkan and Rukn-ud-din hatch a plan to become the Sultan and Valide Sultan (mother of the Sultan). Razia, along with the royal convoy, starts her journey to Multan. She meets Mirza on her journey.

Mirza travels along with the royal convoy without anyone noticing. Nasir reminisces his moments with Iltutmish and looks forward to Razia's arrival. Meanwhile, Shah Turkan plants doubts for Nasir in Iltutmish's mind. Sultan Qabacha gets a whiff about Shah Turkan’s evil plot. He prepares his soldiers for the fight. Razia’s convoy messenger reaches Multan and attacks the royal family. Nasir and Qabacha fight Rana Martand and his soldiers. Razia is shocked witnessing the fight.

The bloodshed in Multan shakes the royal family to their core. Razia and her mother Qutub Begum are not ready to believe the accusations against Iltutmish. The last words of a dying soldier can reveal the truth. Nasir sends a brutal message to his father, which infuriates Iltutmish. Shah Turkan manipulates Iltutmish to declare a war against Nasir. Both father and son prepare for the war that's due to occur in a month's time.

Nasir has declared a war against the Sultan. Both Nasir and the Sultan command their soldiers to start preparing for the war. Meanwhile, Mirza encounters a group of men sent by his previous master. Razia comforts Qutub. Razia wants to clear the misunderstanding between her brother and father. Shamshad Begum denies Razia to intervene in political matters. Razia decides to go to Ghazni to ask for Sultan Yildiz’s help.

The men who attack Mirza are his colleagues from the time he spent with Haji Jamal, his Pir (teacher). Before leaving for Multan, Razia wants to meet Nasir. She meets him in a soldier's disguise and drops a letter in his pocket. With Fatima’s help, Razia and her maid Chanda start their journey. Meanwhile, Mirza goes to meet Haji, who asks him to kill somebody. Mirza declines to do so. The royal family at Multan learns of Razia’s disappearance.

Nasir asks Fatima about Razia's whereabouts. Fatima misleads them to believe that Razia heading to Delhi. Nasir reads Razia’s note and wants to bring Razia back but is stopped by Sultan Qabacha. On her way to Ghazni, Razia gets hurt while riding the horse. While taking care of Razia, Chanda loses the horses. Meanwhile, Mirza wins a silver coin and the title of best fighter from Haji Jamal. Is there a hidden motive behind the gift? Razia and Chanda meet a scary nomad.
