Ryuuji Takasu, who is starting his second year of high school, is a charming and ordinary boy, but he has a face that makes him look like a troublemaker, causing those around him to avoid him. On the first day of school, Ryuuji is thrilled to find that he is in the same class as his best friend Yuusuke Kitamura and the girl he has had a crush on for a long time, Minori Kushieda. However, unexpectedly, he runs into Taiga Aisaka, known as "the most dangerous and high-risk creature in school," whom he will soon discover is in his class. Taiga, a small but quite fierce girl, is also someone who has been ostracized by her friends and even her family, just like him. What starts as a relationship filled with conflict will gradually transform into friendship and love as they bond over their shared experience of being outcasts.
