Seiga High School, which was an all-boys school, has become a co-ed institution a few years ago. The predominance of boys and old habits put the new girls in a tough spot. Misaki Ayuzawa, one of the female students, wants to change this situation. Over time, Misaki, known for her strict, anti-boy demeanor, earns the trust of her teachers and is elected as the student council president. However, due to her family's financial struggles, Misaki has to work part-time at a café after school. While trying to keep this situation a secret to maintain her reputation at school, her popularity is jeopardized when Takumi Usui, one of the popular students, sees Misaki.
