The Maverick boys - Bret, Bart, Beau, and Brent - are a clan of dapper dandies, gamblers who prefer to make their money playing cards rather than getting their fine clothes dirty with actual work. Sly and clever, none of the Mavericks are particularly inclined towards daring feats, but they can be brave when the situation demands it. More often than not, however, they rely on their wits and considerable charm.
