The original story is based on Yamaka Sosaichi's novel "Date Masamune"; this is the biggest drama centered on the Date family, marking the first time in 17 years since "Shinnogi remained" (1970), which depicted Datejo in the Edo period. It portrays the life of Matsudo Date, a Sengoku warrior and Date Masamune, who laid the foundation of the Sendai clan with 620,000 stones in his era through his own wisdom and talent.
