"Claws" follows the rise of five different and unreliable manicurists working at the Nail Artisan beauty salon in Manatee County, South Florida. There’s much more to be found there than just silk wraps, manicures, and pedicures. At the center of the story is Desna (Nash), the salon owner who lives with and cares for her twin brother Dean (Perrineau), who has a mental illness. Among Desna's employees are her best friend Jennifer (Lyon), who is raising two children from a previous relationship; Quiet Ann (Reyes), the salon's security and Desna's mysterious driver; Polly (Preston), a soft-spoken woman recently released from prison due to a false identity; and Virginia (Tran), who constantly expresses her troubles. Roller (Kesy) will appear as someone working at a pain clinic, using Desna's salon to launder the clinic's illegal income.
