Aya Mikage and her twin brother Aki are soon torn apart by the forces of fate… On their sixteenth birthday, Aya and Aki are summoned to their family home for a special gift. What they believed to be a birthday party turns out to be a test—one that Aya fails. She is revealed to possess the reincarnated spirit of an ageless celestial maiden (tennyo), determined to reclaim her heavenly raiment (hagoromo) and destroy the Mikage family.
