Asta and Yuno are two orphans abandoned on the same day at an orphanage. As children, they promise to challenge each other to see who will become the Emperor of Magic. However, as the years go by, the differences between them turn into chasms. While Yuno has ten skills in magic, Asta can't even use magic and thus turns to physical training. Asta, who never knows when to give up, one day gains incredible power, and the two friends set off on a journey toward the same goal.
