Laëtitia Hollard, who dazzled as nurse Emma in the second season of The Pitt, shared her expectations for Season 3 during an interview at the Overlook Film Festival in New Orleans. Hollard expressed her desire for an unfilmed scene with Dr. Javadi to be included in the finale and mentioned that she wants to see a deeper interaction between the characters.
Emma Nolan is a character who has just graduated from nursing school and has been assigned to intern in the Emergency Department of Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center. By transforming the character into an impossibly charming and empathetic personality, Hollard has made viewers hope for her return in Season 3. In Season 2, she delivered fantastic performances alongside Katherine LaNasa's character Dana, and if she returns for Season 3, she expects Emma to be able to act independently in the Emergency Department with sufficient experience.
Hollard particularly emphasized her desire to work with Dr. Javadi, played by Shabana Azeez. The scene she performed during the audition featuring Emma and Javadi was not included in the final cut. Hollard said about this: "Even though we are the same age, we see the world differently. It would be nice to see how such a friendship could develop."
Her second suggestion was to work with Gerran Loughran's character Whitaker. Hollard believes that since Emma and Whitaker come from similar backgrounds and follow parallel storylines, it could be beneficial for them to have dialogues about work-life balance. She added that if these two characters could be responsible nurses in the Emergency Department of Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center, it would be "a very special and sweet hospital."
