Stanley Tucci reprises his role as Nigel, the art director who worked for years at Runway magazine, in Devil Wears Prada 2. With the film set to hit theaters on May 1, Tucci's character is preparing to embrace being a "Maxxinisto" in an advertising campaign with the retail brand, contrary to Anne Hathaway's Andy's comment about "look at what TJ Maxx dragged in." This collaboration showcases why Tucci is excited about working with the brand.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Tucci found it very funny and clever to be invited to work with TJ Maxx. "Ryan Reynolds' company Maximum Effort got involved, and it became very funny and clever because they shot and directed it and developed the concept with TJ Maxx," he said. Tucci believes it's possible to buy designer products at much more affordable prices and stated he has no qualms about supporting that.

Before returning for the sequel, Tucci explained that the appealing aspect of Nigel's character is that he is still in the same position, doing the same work twenty years later. Despite being betrayed by Meryl Streep's Miranda character in the original film, Tucci mentioned that there is still a "perfect symbiotic relationship" between Nigel and Miranda in the second film.

While the first film examines the harsh realities of the cost of success, the sequel addresses the challenges of maintaining or finding success in a changing industry and digital landscape. Tucci noted, "There are so many barriers now for journalists, magazines, and newspapers because of artificial intelligence and our phones." The need for in-depth content is decreasing, which poses serious issues for the future of the media industry. Tucci emphasized that the film tackles these realities, making the story very significant.

Tucci expressed that he enjoys navigating the nuances of Nigel's character and exploring his relationship with Miranda. The character's ability to keep things under wraps and his surrounding perspective that people don't notice make him successful. Returning to Devil Wears Prada 2 gives Tucci a chance to rediscover these traits, while the character's sarcastic and malicious lines also entertain him.
