Meta's new artificial intelligence image feature is raising privacy concerns, prompting the Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA) to offer tips for members to protect their images. In a statement released on Thursday, the guild shared how its members can access their Instagram settings to opt-out of Meta's new Muse Image tool.

SAG-AFTRA stated, "Meta now allows the use of your Instagram photos in AI-generated images without your permission." The guild recommends that #SagAftraMembers and all Instagram users opt-out of Meta's new AI image generation tool, Muse Image. They urged users to "take action to protect your image," inviting them to be vigilant.

This situation has sparked significant debate among social media users, with many expressing concerns about violations of their privacy rights. Due to Meta's ability to use photos without user consent, it necessitates that users be more cautious about protecting their presence on social media platforms. SAG-AFTRA's recommendation is seen as an important step for both actors and general users.

These discussions around privacy and personal rights are raising broader awareness about how social media platforms utilize user data. It is emphasized that users need to be cautious about such features and take steps to protect their rights.
