Just in Time has become the first Broadway musical to recoup its $12.5 million investment, achieving this success in the 2024-25 season. The musical, which tells the story of Bobby Darrin, began performances at the Circle in the Square Theatre on Broadway on March 31, 2025, and premiered on April 26. Featuring Jonathan Groff in the role of Darrin, the show drew attention with hit songs like "Beyond the Sea" and "Splish Splash." Directed by Alex Timbers, the production enjoyed high attendance throughout its run and broke several box office records in the theater.

The musical achieved its highest box office gross of over $2 million during Groff's final week in the show. However, it continued to generate more than $800,000 in revenue in the following weeks. Groff's role was taken over by Matthew Morrison for a few weeks, and Jeremy Jordan is currently performing as Darrin. This recoupment stands out as a rare success among musicals, as rising production costs make it challenging for many shows to recoup or remain open.

In addition to being the only musical to report recoupment this season, Just in Time is one of the few productions to achieve this success in recent years. Others include The Outsiders from the 2024-25 season, and Six, MJ, Juliet, and Moulin Rouge! from the 2021-22 season. Three shows from the 2025-26 season also managed to recoup their investments, but all featured well-known names. Most recently, Every Brilliant Thing, starring Daniel Radcliffe, announced that it has recouped its $5.75 million Broadway investment.

The current cast of the musical includes Jeremy Jordan, as well as Isa Briones, Carrie St. Louis, Debbie Gravitte, and Joe Barbara from The Pitt. Producers Tom Kirdahy and Robert Ahrens stated, "We are deeply grateful to everyone involved in the creation of Just in Time. From our first preview, we witnessed the audience's response to this remarkable Broadway show firsthand. Just in Time brings joy to audiences every night. Bobby Darrin lived an extraordinary life and created magic with every step he took on stage. Telling his story continues to be a privilege as we enter our second year on Broadway." Just in Time will embark on a North American Tour in June 2027.
