With the finale of the second season, the series is moving in a new direction. Following the destruction of the famous Paradise bunker and the death of the character Sinatra (Julianne Nicholson), the focus of the season has shifted to saving the world. This dangerous mission falls to former Secret Service agent Xavier Collins (Sterling K. Brown). In recent weeks, Emmy-winning producer Julianna Margulies, known for her successful performances in The Good Wife and E.R., has joined the third season of Paradise.

Now, Fogelman continues to expand his cast. Elijah Wood, known for his role as Frodo Baggins in Peter Jackson's legendary The Lord of the Rings films, and Melissa Benoist, who starred in the Supergirl series aired on CW from 2015 to 2021, are among the new cast members of Paradise. These two iconic actors are preparing to stand alongside Xavier in the fight necessary to save the world.

Although the release date for the third season of Paradise has not yet been announced, the series is expected to premiere in 2027. Like the first and second seasons, it seems unlikely that the third season will be released at the beginning of the year. Producer Dan Fogelman has confirmed that he has planned three seasons for Paradise and will stick to this plan, even if Disney requests more seasons, and that the series will conclude with the third season.
