Cooper Hoffman has been cast as the lead in the new drama pilot "Durango," written by Eliza Clark and developed for Hulu. Produced by 20th Television and Media Res, Hoffman's character Mikey represents a young man living in a ski town who is trying to enjoy life. The story centers around Mikey and his relationship with Bunny, a runaway who works as a waitress. Together, they search for their own American dreams while making poor choices and evading the police, criminals, and Mikey's wife.
Looking into the details of Mikey's character, it is revealed that he is a local ski legend whose Olympic dreams ended in an accident, and he agrees to a green card marriage to pay his rent. However, when Mikey, who secretly desires more, falls in love with the newcomer Bunny, he finds himself in a much more dangerous situation. This leads to an adventure that will completely change his life.
As Eliza Clark takes on the project, Michael Ellenberg and Lindsey Springer from Media Res also serve as executive producers. Outside of "Durango," Cooper Hoffman will star alongside Olivia Wilde in Gregg Araki's psychosexual thriller "I Want Your Sex." He is also involved in Maude Apatow's "Poetic License" and Luca Guadagnino's project "Artificial." Hoffman is known for his breakout role in Paul Thomas Anderson's "Licorice Pizza," for which he was nominated for Golden Globe and Critics' Choice Awards.
