Bob Odenkirk's New Action Movie "Normal" Starts Weak at the Box Office

The new action film "Normal," starring Bob Odenkirk, hit theaters this week but faced an unexpected failure at the box office. Combining the R-rated action style of the "John Wick" series with a "Fargo"-like atmosphere, the film tells the story of Odenkirk, who plays a sheriff in a small town, facing off against the Yakuza.
The producer of "Normal," Derek Kolstad, has written the first three films of the "John Wick" series and is also the writer of "Nobody" and "Nobody 2," both starring Bob Odenkirk. However, this new project is neither a sequel to the "Nobody" series nor a product of Chad Stahelski and David Leitch's 87Eleven Entertainment. Instead, the film is produced by 87North Productions and is a completely independent project.
However, this weekend, "Normal" did not perform well at the box office. While films like "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie" and "Project Hail Mary" continue to hold the top two spots, Lee Cronin's "The Mummy" unexpectedly landed in third place. "The Drama," featuring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson, took fourth place, while the romantic comedy "You, Me & Tuscany" rounded out the fifth spot. Despite a wide distribution network, "Normal" fell outside the top five.
