Amazon MGM Studios is set to release the action-comedy film 'Vibe' in theaters across India on September 18. Produced through Drongo Films by Kunal Kemmu and Chirag Nihalani, the film tells the story of two inseparable friends whose ordinary lives turn into an unexpected, high-energy adventure. This adventure will push their friendship and survival instincts to the limit.

The screenplay and direction are by Kunal Kemmu. Kemmu stars alongside Preity G Zinta, Sparsh Shrivastava, and Vanshika Dhir, who will be making her on-screen debut. 'Vibe' marks Drongo's first production, and Amazon MGM Studios will hold the theatrical release before it streams on Prime Video.

This news comes at a time when Prime Video India announced a wide-ranging lineup of original TV shows, feature films, and licensed content a few months ago. In this context, projects like 'Vibe' seem to reinforce Amazon's ambitions in the content space.

The cinema lineup also features notable productions such as 'Raftaar' starring Rajkummar Rao and Keerthy Suresh, 'Dilkashi' directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery with music by A.R. Rahman, 'Nayyi Navelli' starring Yami Gautam, and 'Kuku Ki Kundli' featuring Bhuvan Bam and Wamiqa Gabbi. These projects stand out as part of Amazon's efforts to enhance its influence in the Indian market.
