Ayaka Koizumi (Miku Tanaka), a colleague of Mio Kamishiro (Mio Takimoto), is found dead. Pastry chef Joji Oyamada (Jin Katagiri), who had been threatened by Ayaka, is being investigated as a key witness in the murder of female journalist Yuhi Minamizawa (Rinka Kumada ). Masato Kamishiro (Hiroki Narimiya) tries to calm the anxious Mio, but behind the scenes he has been meeting with investor Masumi Nagano (Mariko Tsutsui).
