Sultan Nureddin plans to make King Amalric pay for his Egyptian plot by capturing Bakras Castle, a key Templar base, with Yaruki and Mevdud leading the mission. Balian learns of Hugh's last wish and undertakes a perilous mission that brings him and Saladin together again, along with Doctor Latif, Halil, and Şemse. Mila, seeking revenge, hides in the bazaar after assassinating Saladin's trapper. Şaver, supported by Zangi, continues his schemes with Cevher.
