Netflix Officially Confirms the Arrival of the Best SEAL Team Series

Good news, binge watchers: Netflix is adding another huge action series to the library, and it's going to take over your life when it arrives. This one comes with seven seasons of brutal and violent missions, personal conflicts, and one very loyal fanbase. And after years split between CBS and Paramount+, the military thriller is preparing to reach an even bigger audience, so everybody needs to get ready to deploy. Multiple seasons of SEAL Team will begin streaming on Netflix on August 18, 2026. The exact number of seasons included has not yet been confirmed, although at least two are expected to arrive as part of Paramount Skydance’s wider licensing agreement with Netflix. Created by Benjamin Cavell, SEAL Team follows Bravo Team, an elite unit of Navy SEALs tasked with planning and carrying out dangerous clandestine missions around the world while also dealing with the strain those operations place on their lives at home. Part of what made SEAL Team so compelling when it was airing is that the drama stateside is just as captivating as the daring missions meant to keep the world safe. David Boreanaz (Bones) leads the series as Jason Hayes, the battle-tested commander of Bravo Team. Buckley (CSI: NY) as Sonny Quinn, Toni Trucks (Corporate) as Lisa Davis, and Jessica Paré (Mad Men) as Mandy Ellis. The series premiered on CBS in 2017 and gradually developed into one of the network’s most dependable dramas. It moved exclusively to Paramount+ midway through Season 5, which gave it the streaming perk of being able to include much more mature content and graphic details, before concluding with its seventh season in 2024. SEAL Team is one of several Paramount properties that are heading to Netflix under a new licensing arrangement between the two streaming parties, with other shows including Mayor of Kingstown, Matlock, Watson and The King of Queens set to be available on both platforms, while Lawmen: Bass Reeves has already made the move and been a huge hit for Netflix so far. For the initial part of the deal, Netflix might only be receiving part of the complete series, with Paramount+ likely to retain the later series to entice viewers to check out their other offerings as well.
