Nazlı, the daughter of Gaziantep's famous baklava maker Kahraman Usta, has returned to her hometown after completing her university education in Ankara. Her family, eagerly awaiting the return of their beloved daughter, is overjoyed. However, Nazlı is in for a surprise. Kahraman Usta has promised her hand in marriage to Kadir, the son of his partner Ökkeş Usta. Nazlı vehemently opposes this arrangement. On the day Ökkeş and Kadir come to ask for her hand, Nazlı runs away from home and heads to Bodrum. There, she finds a job at a hotel and starts working. Her family is searching for Nazlı everywhere. Meanwhile, Nazlı meets a handsome foreign young man in Bodrum. She believes this young man is English. However, he is actually a Greek named Niko, whose family has migrated from Istanbul to Athens.
