The weapon used by this task force is an assault vehicle that disguises itself as a Dodge Viper RT/10 roadster and coupe. The series is set in "the near future." The primary brand of vehicles featured in the show is Chrysler or its subsidiary companies. The Viper Defender "star car" was designed by engineers at Chrysler Corporation. The car's exterior design was created by Chrysler stylist Steve Ferrerio.
