Unter uns is a German television soap opera, first broadcast on RTL on November 28, 1994. Centered around the lives of the residents in a house located on the fictional Schillerallee in Cologne, the Weigel family, a baker's family, has been the core family of the series since its debut. Unlike Verbotene Liebe or Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten, Unter uns is not based on a foreign soap opera. After Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten, it became RTL's second daily soap, followed years later in 2006 by Alles was zählt. The show aired its 3,500th episode on December 30, 2008.
