Tutenstein is an American animated series adapted from Jay Stephens’ JetCat Clubhouse comic book and produced by PorchLight Entertainment for Discovery Kids. It first aired on November 1, 2003. The show's title is a blend of the words 'Tutankhamun' and 'Frankenstein.' The story begins when the young pharaoh Tutankhensetamun (shortened to Tut) is resurrected in the modern world 3,000 years after his death and realizes that his ancient kingdom no longer exists. He embarks on adventures with a girl named Cleo and his talking cat Luxor. The series combines themes of Egyptian mythology with humor and action. It aired on Maxi TV in Turkey and on the Jetix channel in Europe. The production company, PorchLight Entertainment, won an Emmy Award for the first two seasons, and in the second season, the Irish studio Telegael also became a co-producer. After the closure of Discovery Kids, the series was re-aired on The Hub channel.
