The story of Trigun takes place on a desertified planet in the distant future. The infamous outlaw Vash the Stampede has a bounty of $60,000,000,000 on his head and is known for his ruthless reputation. Whenever there are any rumors about his arrival in a town, that town is immediately evacuated. However, the real Vash the Stampede doesn't quite match the tales told about him. The mysterious and complex main character of Trigun actually has a heroic side within him; there are times when he behaves like a complete fool.
