The Voice of Romania is a Romanian reality talent show that began in September 2011. It is part of the international franchise The Voice, based on the reality singing competition that started in the Netherlands as The Voice of Holland, created by Dutch television producer John de Mol. The judging panel includes Smiley, Horia Brenciu, Irina Rimes, and Tudor Chirila, with Pavel Bartoș as the presenter. One of the key aspects of the show is the quality of the singing talent. Four coaches, who are themselves popular performing artists, mentor the talents in their group and occasionally perform alongside them. Talents are chosen during blind auditions, where the coaches can only hear the auditioner but cannot see them.
