Caesar tells Cora the magical story of the Underground Railroad, which allows slaves in the southern states to escape to the northern states where they can live freely, and convinces her to escape with him. The duo embarks on a dangerous journey across America on this mystical railroad, fleeing from slave catchers while witnessing the magical world of America.
