The series centers around Eleanor Shellstrop, an ordinary woman who dies after being struck by a tractor carrying erectile dysfunction products and is revived in the afterlife. She realizes that she wasn't a very good person during her life. With the help of her afterlife mentor, Michael, she tries to find the good person within herself and return to her ordinary life.
