The first season ran for 18 episodes, with the original production order extended due to the show's success. A second season of 26 episodes began airing on February 7, 2010. Season 2 had a planned hiatus after episode 10 on April 18, 2010, and returned to complete its run on August 1, 2010. Season 3 started on February 8, 2011. On October 27, 2011, Talkin' 'Bout Your Generation was renewed for a fourth season. On January 22, 2012, it was announced that the show would begin airing Season 4 on February 1, 2012, in an 8 pm timeslot.
