Politician Antonis Papastavrou marries his son Dimitris Papastavrou to Erietta, the only daughter of his childhood friend Stefanos Sekeris. Sekeris's wife is having an affair with a much younger man, Andreas. On the wedding day, in front of everyone on the steps of the church, Papastavrou is murdered and the young Andreas is arrested as the suspect. A web of strange relationships and financial scandals will begin to unravel following the arrest of the alleged murderer and the investigation into the crime.
